Press release from Gainesville Police Department
The Gainesville Police Department announces the hiring of Graham Glover as its new Public Information Officer. A native of Gainesville, Graham served as an Active Duty Officer in the United States Army for the past 12 years. His most recent assignment was at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where he was the Government Affairs Officer for the Army Chief of Chaplains Office. He continues to serve in the Army Reserves. A graduate of Buchholz High School and the University of Florida (BA, MA), Graham brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in public affairs and government communications to GPD.
As part of Chief Tony Jones’ commitment to have both sworn and non-sworn professionals serve in the Department, Mr. Glover is the first civilian to serve GPD as its Public Information Officer.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside those that protect and serve the citizens of Gainesville and look forward to sharing with the community the vision and commitment of Chief Jones and the officers of GPD to those entrusted to their care,” Glover said.
