GPD investigating another downtown homicide

Early this morning at approximately 3:15 a.m., numerous officers were dispatched to a shooting in the parking lot of 222 NE 1st St. Upon arrival, they encountered an unresponsive victim (adult/male) with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived on scene. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim died. Preliminary investigation revealed that an argument ensued between the victim and an unknown suspect. The suspect was not located, and there is no description.

Detectives do not believe this incident and the homicide that occurred on March 6, 2020 at 100 NW 1st Street are connected.
