GPD seeks information on discharged firearms in public

The growing trend of shootings and shots fired in Gainesville continued Thursday.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2020, Gainesville Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 1300 block of NE 31st Avenue. Subsequent canvassing of the area found multiple bullet casings from multiple weapons in the roadway. Nobody was hurt, and no structures were hit.
