Update: Mr. Jonte was located in Statenville, GA by the Echols County Sheriff’s Office this morning.

The Gainesville Police Department is attempting to locate Alvin Lee Jonte, a missing/endangered adult. Mr. Jonte left his residence in Orange Park, FL, around 1100 hours this morning to make a short errand. He did not return home. He is described as a White Male, 5’04”, 135 lbs, hazel eyes, gray hair and wears glasses. His credit card was used to make a purchase at the Circle K located at 20 NE Waldo Rd, in Gainesville around 4:20 PM yesterday. He is driving a 1995 green Chevrolet sidestep pickup with FL tag Y88KLK. His vehicle was called in as a reckless driver in Taylor County Florida around 8:00 PM last seen NB on US HWY19. A search of the area did not reveal his vehicle. It is possible Mr. Jonte is traveling in the North Florida, South Georgia area. Anyone with information is asked to call GPD at 352-955- 1818.
