Greater Gainesville Chamber to kick off Centennial Scavenger Hunt

Press release from Greater Gainesville Chamber

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The gators are soon to be on the loose and waiting to be wrangled. Join the Greater Gainesville Chamber as we show our appreciation for all things Gator with our 4th Annual Gainesville Loves the Gators Scavenger Hunt, kicking off Saturday, Sept. 21, and continuing daily through Thursday, Oct. 3. In recognition of the Chamber’s Centennial Celebration this year, the 2024 Scavenger Hunt has been expanded to two weeks, with 100 gators hidden at 100 of our member businesses throughout Gainesville and Alachua County.

These 100 gators are one-of-a-kind works of art, created by our local Artisans’ Guild artists. Clues to help with the gator hunt will be posted each day on the Greater Gainesville Chamber social channels. Finders keep their gators and will be entered into the fabulous raffle, with a grand prize generously donated by our friends at the University Athletic Association (UAA) and revealed at the Gainesville Chamber UF-UCF Gate 7 tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 5. Thanks also to Duke Energy and the Gainesville Sports Commission for their generous support of this highly anticipated annual event.

More information and complete rules for the Gainesville Loves the Gators Scavenger Hunt can be found at www.gainesvillechamber.com.
