Help Partnership for Strong Families uplift our community during The Amazing Give on April 24

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – We invite you to contribute to the joy and healing of children in care by participating in this year’s Amazing Give fundraiser! The official Giving Day is April 24, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and every dollar makes a difference. This year, Partnership for Strong Families’ goal is to raise $10,000 to directly empower children and families throughout our region. Even small contributions can make a big impact. “A gift as small as $10 could provide crucial support for a youth in care,” said Amanda Demaria Rodriguez, Development Director at PSF.

Right now, there are 653 youth in foster care in our community. It is a challenging time of transition in a young person’s life, but Partnership for Strong Families works to provide children in care with enriching experiences that meet their unique needs and give them opportunities to follow their passions.

Contributions from our community, business sponsors, and employees have made it possible for us to support our foster youth in building confidence and connection. Caregiver Support Specialist Carla C. shared how last year’s donations made it possible for a child to participate in martial arts: “It has helped him maintain his self-esteem, giving him the opportunity to continue to thrive at home as well as at school.” Financial contributions from our supporters also provided Wild Adventures season passes for a sibling group in care. “These passes provided an opportunity to engage in family outings with their caregivers and siblings,” said Support Specialist Tiffany T.

In addition to donating online, you can support The Amazing Give while enjoying a tasty treat, thanks to our collaboration with Dick Mondell’s Burgers and Fries in Gainesville! On April 24, 100% of all drink profits (excluding milkshakes) will go directly to our Amazing Give campaign. Plus, on April 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., 25% of all purchases will be donated to support our mission. A huge thank you to Dick Mondell’s for offering such a delicious way to give back!
