Hippodrome Art Gallery presents solo exhibition “To An Infinite Past”

The Hippodrome Art Gallery is proud to present a solo exhibition by artist Keiaria Williams. “To An Infinite Past” will run from October 20th – November 7th, 2021 with an opening reception on October 22nd featuring a performance screening in the cinema from 7pm – 9pm.

“To An Infinite Past” is a series of multimedia and performance pieces exploring the ephemeral nature of history and connection through tactile processes.

Williams is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in sculpture and performance art. “I am exploring the human condition and the metaphysical” says Williams, “Often guided by material; I am thinking about history, space, relationships, and connection. I pay homage to coded language by creating my own. I am creating this language from my own DNA, from ancient motions like braiding, from color, code, and from sound.”

“To An Infinite Past” runs through November 7th, 2021 with an opening reception on October 22nd from 7pm – 9pm and during Gainesville Artwalk on October 29th from 7pm – 10 pm.

The Hippodrome is located at 25 SE 2nd Place Gainesville, FL 32601. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday 12pm till “close of shows,” and Monday – Friday by appointment.
