January 25 is National Poll Worker Recruitment Day

Press release from Alachua County Supervisor of Elections
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission has designated January 25 as National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. Election workers are critical to the administration of elections; they help open, set up, and close polling places, ensure only qualified voters are allowed to vote, and assist voters with the voting process.
The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office is recruiting election workers for elections throughout 2022, including the countywide elections on August 23, 2022 and November 8, 2022.
New and returning election workers will attend orientation and paid training sessions at the Supervisor of Elections Office, which is located in Gainesville at 515 N. Main St., and can choose to serve as Clerks, Deputies, Ballot Distributors, or one of several other positions. We will train you to use the election equipment and follow election procedures.
