Jones Edmunds serves as mentor in NASA Mentor-Protégé Program

Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. and Drummond Carpenter, PLLC are pleased to announce that our firms have been approved to participate together in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP). NASA’s MPP is focused on helping develop the agency’s small business supplier base. The agreement is approved for 24 months after the incorporation of the agreement into a contractual vehicle. As a participant in the NASA MPP, Mentors and Protégés are expected to engage in activities that will build successful business relationships that benefit the Mentor (Jones Edmunds), the Protégé (Drummond Carpenter), and NASA.

Jones Edmunds is a NASA-approved mentor and has served NASA for nearly 30 years, including service on multiple 5-year NASA Civil IDIQ contracts. Drummond Carpenter is an established Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with experience working for NASA in a subconsultant role. Jones Edmunds and Drummond Carpenter offer a strong synergy of the capabilities and services as both are licensed professional civil and environmental engineering consulting companies providing services to federal, state, municipal, public, and private clients. Doug Toth, PhD, PE, Sr. Vice President with Jones Edmunds, said, “We are honored to expand our long-standing relationship with NASA through our participation in the Mentor-Protégé Program and look forward to working closely with Drummond Carpenter on the broad range of projects we can support through this relationship.”

Jones Edmunds will provide the necessary technical training, development, guidance, and resources to enable Drummond Carpenter to expand their capabilities so that they can successfully perform as a future prime contractor to NASA. Drummond Carpenter is a partner that can reciprocate by providing additional depth in areas such as environmental remediation and green infrastructure design. A virtual signing ceremony was held on April 22, 2021 to formalize our relationship and further highlight this important program.
