Juvenile arrested in October 5 shooting near Oaks Mall

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Bryan Galindo Vega, 16, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a juvenile male on October 5 near the Oaks Mall.
The shooting occurred outside The Oaks apartments (6510 W. Newberry Road); a juvenile male was shot at close range in the upper chest and was transported to the hospital in serious condition. One of the bullets lodged in the victim’s spine, and he is reportedly paralyzed below the ribs. The victim’s cell phone and other items were reportedly stolen in the incident.
Vega is currently being held in the Juvenile Detention Center.

Parents don’t parent, police don’t police. It’s disgusting. ASO and GPD are the LAZIEST agency’s I have EVER seen. The WORST! Alachua County will allow this kid back on the street because it doesn’t hold the juvenile or the parents accountable. Sweeps everything under the rug. You don’t look my way and I won’t look yours. SMH.
How do you reach the conclusion that both agencies are lazy?
– GPD is understaffed and handcuffed by a progressive city commission. They (City of Gainesville leadership) clearly don’t support their officers or care about victims outside of UF Students.
– ASO is currently recovering from the 250+ Deputies that quit under the leadership of Clovis Watson.
– GPD and ASO have worked together on numerous occasions getting guns off the street.
– Clearly, this can be directly tied to the idea that “who and what you vote for matters”. The commission hired the former Police Chief who murdered morale and was fundamentally ineffective as a leader, manager, and as a cop. The electorate voted in Clovis Watson who gutted the agency due to his incompetence.
– If anything, GPD and ASO have throughly investigated and charged those engaged in these violent crimes. You would be better suited casting your frustrations at the State Attorney’s Office and the Judiciary who 1) have to agree to plea deals and 2) sent the sentences.
It’s always the uneducated loudest screamer in the room that gets the attention. The progressive left has been screaming racism and giving passes to violent behavior. Their suggestions are being turned into policies that effectively make your law enforcement ineffective.
I hope they are able to find and arrest the rest of the attackers of the victim, who is now paralyzed. Thankful to God that the victim survived.
If you are 16 and grown enough to have a gun and shoot someone at close range, you should be in the Alachua County Jail and charged as an adult. Why is this a juvenile case?

He pulled out a gun and shot him point blank then left him for dead.
