Kitchen fire at Villa Ravine apartment results in one injury

Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to an apartment fire today at Villa Ravine Apartments, 1500 NW 16th Avenue.

Operations Chief Joseph Hillhouse said the fire originated in a kitchen in a single apartment, and the fire was put out before any other apartments were damaged. One person was transported from the scene with an injury.

Hillhouse said people should never leave cooking unattended.
