Letter to the Editor: Anonymous hero

Dear Editor,

Many shake their heads in disgust when former politicians engage in self-promotion in order to gain the spotlight.

Yesterday I went to the dollar store to purchase some disinfectant and complimented the cashier on her beautiful face mask. She told me an elderly woman came in a few weeks ago, gave every employee a face mask, and refused to take any money.

The woman told the cashier she had a sewing machine and lots of scrap fabric, and she wants to give face masks to as many store workers as she can.

She said that was the least she could do to help store workers who go to work for us.

If anyone knows this mystery woman, please tell her how much she is appreciated.
