LifeSouth to participate in the “Amazing Give”

Alachua County residents can “Recycle Life” on April 22 with the chance to win a new Biria bicycle, courtesy of Bikes and More. Donate blood with LifeSouth or contribute to the LifeSouth Community Foundation Amazing Give campaign to be entered to win the bike and other Earth Day-friendly prizes. LifeSouth is the sole provider of blood and blood products to all the hospitals in Alachua County, and blood donations to LifeSouth help save local lives. Monetary contributions will educate K-12 students about the importance of donating blood and provide scholarships to students who advocate for blood donation. 

Donors are encouraged to take a selfie or video to explain why they donate with LifeSouth. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag ##WhyIGiveGNV in their post, which could help the Foundation win an additional grant to support education and awareness.

Donors must be at least 17 or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good health. A photo ID is needed.
