Local Non-Profit startGNV Welcomes New Members to Its Board of Directors

With the start of the new year, local non-profit startGNV welcomed seven new members from a variety of businesses and industries to its Board of Directors. The new members round out a robust board of 15 who support the growth of the innovation ecosystem of greater Gainesville.

New members include Joanna Barousse (Innovation Academy), Stacy Burrell (Fracture), Jon Church (Microsoft), Neil Israel (Sketchology), Joe Manglardi (Provi), Sarah Ryals (Opie Software), and Scott Schroeder (Liquid Creative). Among them are company founders as well as leaders in software, manufacturing, sales, human resources, and higher education.

“We welcome this extremely talented group of energetic leaders who are passionate about supporting the mission of startGNV,” said startGNV Director Tammy Dygert. “I am inspired by their diverse skills and love for Gainesville and am excited for what they will bring to our community this year.”

The new members join an already dynamic working board of directors led by Board President James Gibson, co-founder of Quottly. Together, they support local startups and existing Gainesville area technology and biotechnology companies through a variety of programs and events including the Innovation Ecosystem Awards, mentoring, a Startup Sprint weekend, and a local jobs portal featuring Gainesville-area technology jobs.
