March 23 morning update: 37 cases in Alachua County

According to the state dashboard, Alachua County now has 37 COVID-19-positive cases, up from 29 at this time yesterday. No deaths have been reported. The average age of those who have tested positive in the county is 39.

The state has 1171 cases (an increase of 341 from this time yesterday) and 14 deaths.

4 people in Alachua County have been hospitalized. 27 COVID-19 tests are pending. 611 people have been tested so far in Alachua County, and 547 tests have come back negative, so 89.5% of the tests so far have been negative.

The statewide daily report says that there are 10 cases in Gainesville, 2 cases in Tioga, 3 cases in Newberry, 1 in High Springs, and 1 in Micanopy.
