March 25 evening update: 46 cases in Alachua County

According to the stateĀ dashboard, Alachua County now has 46 COVID-19-positive cases, up from 45 this morning. No deaths have been reported. The average age of those who have tested positive in the county is 42.

The state has 1977 cases (an increase of 510 from this time yesterday and 295 from this morning) and 23 deaths (up 3 from yesterday and up 1 from this morning).

53 COVID-19 tests are pending in Alachua County. 848 people have been tested so far in Alachua County, and 749 tests have come back negative, so 88% of the tests so far have been negative (6.1% are pending). Only 5.4% of the local tests have come back positive so far.

According to theĀ daily report (note that the data in that report and the dashboard don’t always match up because they are published at different times), there are 34 cases in Gainesville, 3 in Newberry, 2 in Tioga, 2 in Micanopy, 1 in Alachua, and 1 in High Springs. Location data is not available for all cases.
