March 25 morning update: 45 cases in Alachua County

According to the state dashboard, Alachua County now has 45 COVID-19-positive cases, up from 37 at this time yesterday. No deaths have been reported. The average age of those who have tested positive in the county is 43. 5 people have been hospitalized.

The state has 1682 cases (an increase of 270 from this time yesterday) and 22 deaths.

52 COVID-19 tests are pending in Alachua County. 765 people have been tested so far in Alachua County, and 668 tests have come back negative, so 87% of the tests so far have been negative (6.7% are pending). Only 6.3% of the local tests have come back positive so far.

According to the daily report, there are 33 cases in Gainesville, 3 in Newberry, 2 in Tioga, 2 in Micanopy, 1 in Alachua, and 1 in High Springs. Location data is not available for all cases.
