Matheson History Museum presents “Harriet Tubman: Commemorating Women Warriors of the Civil War”

On May 29, Matheson History Museum will honor the black women of the Civil War, specifically Harriet Tubman, and their many contributions to society. Speakers include Terri L. Bailey, Dr. Arlisha R. Norwood, and special guest Ernestine Martin Wyatt, the great, great, great grand-niece of Harriet Ross Tubman. The program will include poetry, history, and family stories about Harriet Tubman and the role that Black women played in the war. This program is a partnership between the Matheson History Museum and MAMAs Club.
