Medical providers DO NOT need to close

I received a call from one of my medical providers this morning, telling me that they have to close because of the county’s emergency order.
A woman reached out to me for help because her son’s eyeglasses are broken, and her optician said they have to close because of the county’s emergency order.
Medical providers may make a decision that they should close for the safety of their patients and staff, but they should not close because of the county’s order.

Note that doctors’ offices and eye care centers are exempt.
