Micanopy man killed in single-vehicle accident

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year-old Micanopy man was killed in a single-vehicle accident that was discovered this morning.

According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck that was discovered crashed in a wooded area off the road on SE CR 346, west of CR 325, at about 7:30 a.m. today. The driver was deceased; he was not wearing a seat belt.

Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
