Motorcyclist killed in Jonesville

According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, a 20-year-old male motorcyclist from Gainesville was killed yesterday at 5:24 p.m. at the intersection of CR 241 and Newberry Rd (SR 26).

A Kia Sorrento driven by a 64-year-old woman from Williston was traveling west on SR 26, and the motorcyclist was traveling east on SR 26. At the intersection of CR 241, the Kia made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle struck the right front of the Kia. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene.
