At approximately 2:00 p.m. on January 16, the Florida Highway Patrol’s Jacksonville Regional Communications Center received a request from the St. Petersburg Police Department to be on the lookout for a Greyhound bus traveling north on I-75.
The bus was believed to be approaching Alachua County with a passenger on board wanted for murder. FHP Troopers spotted the bus northbound and conducted a stop at the 375-mile marker. Troopers boarded the bus and called the suspect, Christoffer King, out by name. King surrendered to Troopers without incident and was then transported and booked into the Alachua County Jail on the outstanding warrant for murder.
