NE 9th Street to be closed during the day, July 20-August 7

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Below are the updated City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for July 20-26, 2026.

New Notices

NE Ninth Street: NE Ninth Street, between NE 23rd Avenue and NE 14th Avenue, will be closed during the day and reopened each evening, from July 20 to Aug. 7.

Continuing Notices

Impacts from The Streatery construction: Please note that businesses remain open during construction. Please visit our website for more information.

SW First Avenue: Southwest First Avenue, between South Main Street and Southwest Second Street, remains closed.

SW First Street: Southwest First Street, between West University Avenue and Southwest First Avenue, remains closed.

SE Second Avenue: Southeast Second Avenue, between Southeast 21st Street to Southeast 20th Street, will be closed during the day and reopened each afternoon through Aug. 7.

SE 20th Street: Southeast 20th Street, between Southeast Second Avenue and Southeast Hawthorne Road, will be closed during the day and reopened each afternoon through Aug. 7.

NW Fourth Avenue: Northwest Fourth Avenue, between Northwest Fifth Street and Northwest Fourth Street, will be closed until Sept. 10.
