New GNVCares program focus of next Telephone Town Hall

WHAT: The City of Gainesville will host its next telephone town hall tomorrow night, April 29 at 7:15 p.m. Gainesville Mayor Lauren Poe will be joined by the city manager and senior management team to answer questions about GNVCares, a new $3.18M program to expand local relief and recovery efforts. GNVCares is designed to provide direct assistance to city residents and to small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

MORE: The telephone town hall is open to everyone by phone regardless of district. Neighbors with landlines are encouraged to register in advance through this link to receive a call back at the time of the event. Registration for a call back closes two hours before the 7:15 p.m. start time. Callers also can dial in at 1-888-410-3427 to ask questions, share comments or simply listen in once the event begins. Spanish speakers are invited to call 1-844-881-1317.
The telephone town hall will be streamed live on Facebook, the City of Gainesville website and on COX Cable Channel 12 and will be archived online.
