Newberry Volleyball advances in regional semifinals

Newberry’s volleyball team swept Ft. Meade High School tonight in the regional semifinals, winning 25-12, 25-8, and 25-4. The Panthers were led by senior Paige Dinges with 8 kills and 3 aces. 

Senior Sydney Bryant had 13 service points with 2 aces, sophomore setter Paige Bankston had 14 assists and 8 service points with 3 aces, and junior Mykenzie Tiller came in with 7 kills. Newberry will host Trenton at 2:00 p.m. on October 31 for the 1A regional championship.
