October Family and Consumer Sciences Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Family and Consumer Sciences program for October 2020. This program is being offered by Martha B. Maddox, Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent IV.
Food Preservation 101 – October 20, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., This is a Zoom webinar.
This webinar includes methods of preserving food, food safety guidelines, pressure and water bath canning, equipment needed, jars and lids, sterilization, filling and sealing jars, storing home canned food and equipment, and methods not recommended. This webinar will be conducted by Martha Maddox, Melanie Thomas, and LuAnn Duncan.
There is no registration fee, but participants must register online (those needing assistance with registering can call the Extension Office at 352-955-2402). After participants have registered, they will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. This webinar is limited to 250 participants.
