Overnight parking closures on High Springs Main Street begin on July 26

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s State Road 45 resurfacing project from north of West Newberry Road (State Road 26) to State Road 25 (U.S. 441), on-street parking on High Springs Main Street (State Road 45/U.S. 27/U.S. 41) from Northwest 184th Place to Northwest 188th Avenue will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., July 26 to Aug. 14, Sunday through Thursday, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Towing will be strictly enforced during these times.

Downtown parking alternatives are available at the following locations:

  • 18576 to 18550 NW 237th St., High Springs, FL 32643
  • 23600 to 23650 NW 185th Rd., High Springs, FL 32643
  • 23585 to 23559 NW 185th Rd, High Springs, FL 32643
  • 23661 to 23601 SE Railroad Ave., High Springs, FL 32643

The project includes milling and resurfacing, base work, shoulder treatment, sidewalks/bicycle path, highway signing, traffic signals, and other incidental construction.

FDOT awarded Anderson Columbia Co., Inc to complete this $ 7.2 million project by fall 2026, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
