Palm Harbor woman killed in morning crash on I-75

According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, a 74-year-old Palm Harbor woman was fatally injured in a crash that closed all lanes on northbound I-75 near Williston Road this morning.
The woman, who was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, and a couple in their 70s from Sarasota, in a 2018 Lincoln MKX, were driving northbound on I-75. The Equinox was in the center lane, and the MKX was in the right lane. The Palm Harbor woman attempted to exit the interstate at Williston Road from the center lane, into the path of the MKX; the driver of the MKX was unable to stop before hitting the Equinox. The woman was declared deceased after being transported from the scene. The Sarasota couple sustained minor injuries.
