Press release from Palms Medical Group
HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Palms Medical Group will be hosting a Safe Riders Safe Drivers event at the High Springs location (16916 NW US HWY 441, High Springs, FL 32643) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Presented by Safe Kids North Central Florida and UF Health Adult Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach, this event will be dedicated to car seat and driver safety for all ages. During this event, parents may come to have their car seat(s) checked, ensuring safety for their children.
“Keeping children safe on the road starts with the right information and the right equipment,” said Jordyn Zyngier, Safe Kids North Central Florida Coordinator. “Our goal is to remove barriers, provide education, and support families in making the safest choice for their child.”
Additionally, certified CarFit technicians will be available during this event to assist drivers of any age, ensuring their driver’s seat, mirrors, steering wheel, and other driving implements are properly adjusted for maximum visibility and safety.
“Small adjustments make a big difference on the road,” said Brian Dean, Adult Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator for UF Health Trauma Services. “The CarFit program empowers drivers by ensuring their vehicle is properly fit to them. During a free, quick 12-point evaluation, trained CarFit technicians help drivers optimize vehicle safety features and review evolving in-vehicle technology.”
By using the High Springs location to make these services available to the High Springs community, Palms Medical Group continues to enhance the health and well-being of our communities, one safe car rider and safe driver at a time.
