Pampering with Purpose: Local nonprofit hosts self-care workshop for girls, aged 11-18
Press release from Dream on Purpose
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In celebration of a decade of impact, Dream on Purpose is proud to host its fifth annual Crown Placement — a self-care experience designed to help girls ages 11–18 honor their bodies, care for their crowns, and embrace their worth, inside and out.
Taking place this Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Trinity’s Day Spa (2441 NW 43rd Street, Suite 11B, Gainesville, FL), Crown Placement combines pampering with purpose. Girls will receive free facials or pedicures, explore nutrition and wellness, and get fitted with bra resources and engage in real talk — all while building sisterhood in a safe, uplifting environment.
“Even the strongest queens need a tribe to help adjust their crown,” said JoAnne Karagnara, co-founder and vice president of Dream on Purpose. “This event helps girls show up with confidence, protect their peace, and carry themselves with power.”
All attendees will receive free self-care kits and enjoy giveaways, affirmations, and heart-centered conversations with presentations given by subject matter experts. Crown Placement is sponsored/supported by the Wagmore Foundation, Community Foundation of North Central Florida, University of Florida College of Nursing, and Lion’s Lair Boutique.
This event is free to attend; however, space is limited. To register and for more information, visit dreamonpurpose.org/events/ or follow us on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
