An “Earn While You Learn” opportunity for young people

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Project YouthBuild is hosting a Summer Bash and Application Blitz event on Thursday, July 28, from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at their campus located at 635 NW 6th Street and will have a free cookout, prizes, opportunity to tour Project YouthBuild, and staff will be available to assist with completing applications for the 2022-23 school year. The first ten young people to complete their applications will have the opportunity to take part in a prize drawing

Project YouthBuild is a 9-month “earn while you learn” program designed to help students obtain their high school diploma, prepare for a career, and give back to their community. All students receive case management support, career readiness training, leadership coaching, hands-on learning, and wrap-around support services.

“Project YouthBuild is a second chance for young people,” said Jonathan Leslie, executive director. “Our staff and community partners are dedicated to helping young people reach their goals.”

All students receive a cash stipend every two weeks based on attendance and participation. Applications are due by July 31 and are available at the Project YouthBuild campus, online at:
