Request for Chili Competitors for the 14th Annual Chili Cookoff and Springs Celebration

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department and Florida State Parks will host the annual O’Leno Ole’ Chili Cookoff and Springs Celebration on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at O’Leno State Park.
The event includes a chili cookoff, live music from the Weeds of Eden, a guided walk along the River Trail, children’s activities, art vendors, and environmental exhibits. Chili tasting kits will be on sale for $7. All proceeds assist the Friends of O’Leno non-profit organization with its mission of supporting the park.
If you want to show off your cooking skills, event organizers are now recruiting chili competitors! Bring your favorite chili recipe and compete with the best! Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded for a meat category, vegetarian category, and the people’s choice award.
