Ripple Theatricals presents Nunsense A-Men! dinner theater this August

Press release from Ripple Theatricals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ripple Theatricals invites audiences to experience an evening of laughter, music, and unforgettable entertainment with Nunsense A-Men!, a Dinner Theater production, opening August 7 and running across three weekends in August. Presented in an intimate dinner theater setting, the production features a full live orchestra and a talented five-person cast, bringing Dan Goggin’s beloved musical comedy to life.

Following the success of Ripple Theatricals’ recent production of Newsies, the company continues its inaugural season with one of the world’s most celebrated musical comedies. Originally premiering Off-Broadway in 1985, Nunsense became an international phenomenon, spawning numerous sequels and thousands of productions around the world. Nunsense A-Men! offers a fresh twist on the classic by featuring an all-male cast portraying the Little Sisters of Hoboken.

The story begins when the sisters explain that the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God), accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters. Faced with the unexpected crisis, the five surviving nuns have organized a wildly entertaining variety show to raise money for the remaining burials. What follows is an evening packed with musical numbers, tap dancing, audience interaction, comedic disagreement, and nonstop surprises that will keep you on your toes!

While it’s an ambitious turnaround, our cast, musicians, and volunteers have poured countless hours into creating a production that audiences will remember for its humor, heart, and incredible performances.”
