ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – FDOT and the City of Gainesville have announced the following road and lane closures for the week of Oct. 31-Nov. 7, 2025:

City of Gainesville New Notices

NW Eighth Ave.: Northwest Eighth Avenue will be closed between 12th and 15th Streets this Saturday, Nov. 1, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. This is to allow crews to make drainage repairs.

FDOT Closures

• Archer Road from Southwest 41st Boulevard to Southwest 34th Street (29.620338918509034, -82.38046394571823). Daytime eastbound lane closures Sunday from 3 a.m. to noon for manhole work.
• Archer Road from Southwest 43rd Street to Southwest 48th Drive (29.61404119510898, -82.39262272362957). Daytime lane closures weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work.
• County Road 241 at I-75 (Bridge #260064) (29.75328708952908, -82.49343013205394). Daytime lane closures with flaggers Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for routine overpass maintenance.
