Road and traffic impacts for May 23-30, 2025

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Below are the updated City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for May 23-30, 2025. 

New Notices

SW Eighth Ave.: Southwest Eighth Avenue will be closed between Southwest 13th Street and Southwest 12th Street on Tuesday, May 27. 
SE 21st St.: Southeast 21st Street will be closed between Southeast Second Avenue and Southeast Second Place from May 27-June 4. 

Continuing Notices

NW First St.: Northwest First Street between West University Avenue and Northwest First Avenue will be closed with detours until June 30.
NW Sixth St.: Northwest Sixth Street, between Northwest Eighth Avenue and Northwest Seventh Avenue, has single-lane closures (right-turn lane only) headed southbound until May 31. 
SE 21st St.: Southeast 21st Street will be closed to thru traffic from Southeast Second Avenue to Southeast Third Place until May 22.

Note: All lane and road closures are subject to change due to unforeseen conditions, such as inclement weather.
