Road and traffic impacts for May 30-June 7

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Below are the updated City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for May 30-June 7, 2025.
New Notices
SW Eighth Ave.: Southwest Eighth Avenue will be closed between Southwest 13th Street and Southwest 12th Street through June 13. The driveway into the Norman Hall parking garage will remain open.
NW Eighth Ave.: Northwest Eighth Avenue will be closed on Saturday, June 7, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., from Northwest Sixth Street to Northwest 12th Street. It will be closed in both directions and detours will be in place.
Continuing Notices
NW First St.: Northwest First Street, between West University Avenue to Northwest First Avenue, will be closed with detours until June 30.
SE 21st St.: Southeast 21st Street will be closed between Southeast Second Avenue and Southeast Second Place through June 4.
Note: All lane and road closures are subject to change due to unforeseen conditions, such as inclement weather.
