Road and Traffic Impacts for October 7-14, 2022

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Below are the updated City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for October 7-14, 2022. 

New Notices

Clark Butler Blvd. / SW 24th Ave.: There will be a lane closure on the south leg in the right turn lane expected to begin Monday, Oct. 10, and continue for two days. This is for water main relocation work to prepare for the upcoming roadway work on the Clark Butler Blvd. / SW 62nd Blvd. extension. 

Continuing Notices 

NW 36th Avenue: The intersection of Northwest 36th Avenue and Northwest Eighth Street continues to be closed for GRU wastewater maintenance work through Oct. 13.

SE Second Place: Southeast Second Place between Main Street and Southeast First Street through October 31.

Clark Butler Blvd.: There will be an outside lane closure on Clark Butler Boulevard (south and east bound) just past the northern driveway of Walmart. This is for water main relocation work in preparation for upcoming roadway work for the Clark Butler Boulevard/Southwest 62nd Boulevard extension. The lane closure is expected to be early in the week (Monday to Wednesday).

SW Ninth Terrace: Southwest Ninth Terrace will be closed between Southwest First Avenue and University Avenue due to the construction of a new development. Construction is expected to last through August 2023.


All lane and road closures are subject to change due to unforeseen conditions, such as inclement weather.
