Santa Fe College Proposing Changes to User Fees and Fines for 2020-2021
Press release from Santa Fe College
The District Board of Trustees of Santa Fe College reviews and approves the User Fees and Fines Schedules each June, within the guidelines approved by the Florida Legislature. The fees shall not exceed the cost of the services provided and shall be charged only to persons receiving the services. At SF, user fees and fines are assessed to students or community members who engage in the services that, because of their nature, require special funding not provided by regular tuition.
The proposed 2020-2021 User Fees and Fines Schedule can be found at the following link: sfcollege.edu/finance/cashier/user-fees-fines. The proposed 2020-2021 User Fees and Fines Schedule will be voted on by the District Board of Trustees at their meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 4 p.m. on SF’s Northwest Campus at 3000 NW 83rd Street, Gainesville, Florida 32606 unless the COVID-19 pandemic necessitates that the Board hold a virtual meeting. For further information about meeting arrangements, please contact 352-395-5170 or general.counsel@sfcollege.edu.
The schedule specifically outlines the details of existing fees that are proposed to be changed. All proposed increases are based on an increase in the cost of the services. The fees and fines proposed are for unusual costs, and the funds received by the college will be used to cover the cost of the services being provided.Â
Credit hour and non-credit clock hour tuition and fee rates will remain the same and can be found at the following link: sfcollege.edu/finance/cashier/tuition-dates-schedules/index.
