Santa Fe College Proposing Changes to User Fees and Fines for 2021-2022
May 18, 2021
Press release from Santa Fe College
The District Board of Trustees of Santa Fe College reviews and approves the User Fees and Fines Schedules each June, within the guidelines approved by the Florida Legislature. The legislatively prescribed fees shall not exceed the cost of the services provided and shall be charged only to persons receiving the services. At SF, user fees and fines are assessed to students or community members who engage in the services that, because of their nature, require special funding not provided by regular tuition.
The proposed 2021-2022 User Fees and Fines Schedule can be found at the following link: sfcollege.edu/finance/student/user-fees-fines. The proposed 2021-2022 User Fees and Fines Schedule will be voted on by the District Board of Trustees at their meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 4 p.m. Trustees will be on SF’s Northwest Campus at 3000 NW 83rd Street, Gainesville, Florida 32606 for the meeting, while others may attend the meeting via Zoom. For further information about meeting arrangements, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The schedule specifically outlines the details of existing fees that are proposed to be changed. All proposed increases are based on an increase in the cost of the services. The fees and fines proposed are for unusual costs, and the funds received by the college will be used to cover the cost of the services being provided.
