Press release from Santa Fe College
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tight harmonies will be the order of the day on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall on the Santa Fe College Northwest campus when the Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology department presents ‘Sing Into Spring.’
Sing Into Spring this year will be a collaboration between the Santa Fe Singers and the Barbergators Chorus, a Gainesville-based group that has been performing since 1973 with the mission to “bring our community together in and with harmony.”
The theme of the event is “Rhythm of Life,” based on a composition of the same name by Cy Coleman (arranged by Richard Barnes). The concert will explore the rhythm of life through the everyday, the emotional, water (essential to life), and home, featuring a variety of styles, with a repertoire including “Java Jive” (Ben Oakland, arr. Russell Robinson), “Cum Sancto Spiritu” (Antonio Lotti), “The Longest Time” (Billy Joel, arr. Tom Gentry), and Tshotsholoza (Jeffery Ames).
Tickets may be purchased at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall box office or online on Showpass.
