School district to offer free snacks/suppers at 19 pick-up sites

Alachua County Public Schools’ Food & Nutrition Department announces the expansion of the Afterschool Meals Program, a component of the Child Care Food Program, which typically provides nutritious snacks/and or suppers to children in after-school programs. However, the Food & Nutrition Department will be offering free snacks and suppers to all Alachua County children ages 0-18 at 15 curbside pick-up sites beginning March 2 and four other sites beginning March 16. Distribution will continue through the end of June 2021. Families will be able to pick up the additional snacks and suppers at those sites on the same schedule they pick up breakfasts and lunches, which is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The additional meals will be available at the sites listed below:
