Second Okito America location is now open
Press release from Okito America
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The wait is over! After announcing a second location, Okito America has opened the doors to new and old students alike. With martial arts, after-school programs, dance classes, and birthday parties already booking up, it’s not a moment too soon.
After locally-owned Okito America’s student rolls outgrew the capacity for only one location, the search began to open a second one. Renovation at the new Okito America, located next to the Flip Factory in The Shops of Newberry on Newberry Road, began over the summer and progressed quickly. Okito is excited to now welcome its loyal fans, as well as students who have been waitlisted, to enjoy a new store to experience the same great services that have made them the most successful martial arts and childcare facility in Alachua County. With award-winning birthday parties, dance classes, and after-school programs with free transportation from over a dozen local schools, it’s even easier to get enrolled in one of Alachua County’s safest and most fun organizations.
The Shops of Newberry Okito America is located at 7420 W. Newberry Road, and the original Okito will still be open at 6900 SW Archer Road.
The second location, with almost 7,500 sq. ft, comes as great news for the number of parents who have been waiting to get into Okito’s afterschool program and martial arts classes. The Newberry Road location offers Okito space to accommodate new students, as well as its roster of 350 students, who attend the afterschool programs, school break camps, martial arts classes, and special events like Parents Night Out and holiday parties.
“We have worked very hard this summer to make this dream happen. To be in a position to open a second location and extend the opportunity to more kids from Alachua County to experience our unique blend of services is exciting,” Okito owner Orlando Milan said. “Our team works extremely hard to provide each student with a place to build confidence through achievement. Their success is reflective of the number of students we have in our classes and the need we had to expand to a second location.”
Okito America opened in 2007 with a vision of improving the lives of families in Alachua County. They provide an environment conducive to positive relationships, fostering self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-respect. Learn more about Okito America at www.okitoamerica.com.
