Press release from The Frazer School
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Seven Frazer School students — 50% of the senior class — have been named National Merit Semifinalists.
Over 1.3 million juniors entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT last October. The pool of approximately 16,000 National Merit Semifinalists constitutes less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors. Students in Florida had to have an index score of 219 or higher out of 228 to become a Semifinalist. All Semifinalists will now have a chance to become finalists by submitting a detailed scholarship application.
Frazer School National Merit Semifinalists are:
- Bach Ngo
- Xuyao Zhang
- Aliana Chen
- Michael Wei
- Jimmy Jiang
- Adityaa Ravi
- Anish Patel
Frazer School Principal Fayiga said, “I am extremely proud of our teachers who taught these students and the students themselves for this great recognition. To have 50% of our senior class qualify is a testament to the high academic quality of students enrolled in our school.”
