GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Santa Fe College Concert Band will showcase some of the most popular songs in American history — from dance grooves to memorable cinematic tunes — at ‘Winds Go Pop,’ held Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyceum Concert Hall on the Northwest campus. Admission to the concert is free.

The Santa Fe Winds, consisting of 21 students, will be performing these favorites, conducted by Associate Professor of Music and Band Director Dr. David Smith. The night’s repertoire will consist of some of the most memorable music from movie and television history, such as Walt Disney’s “Aladdin,” “The Simpsons,” and selections from “The Black Panther.” In addition, students will perform George Gershwin’s masterpiece, “Rhapsody in Blue.”
