Sister Hazel duo will perform in Alachua on August 8

Press release from City of Alachua

ALACHUA, Fla. – Ken Block and Drew Copeland, two of the five original members of Sister Hazel, will be performing at the Legacy Park Amphitheater on August 8, 2024, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Sister Hazel is a platinum-selling rock band, whose roots are planted right here in Alachua County. Block and Copeland will bring their wildly successful tunes for a “miss it and miss out” acoustic show, reminiscent of their earlier performance days, where they canvassed clubs and coffee shops as a duo from Gainesville, Florida.

Coined “The Ken and Drew Show,” Block and Copeland will spend time taking the audience through acoustic performances of Sister Hazel favorites, some “B sides,” deep cuts, and even new material.

In addition to the live music, local food vendors will be present, selling food and beverages on site.

“We are anticipating this will be a great event, full of great music and great food,” said City of Alachua Mayor Gib Coerper. “It will truly be a ‘miss it and miss out’ evening.”
