Spark Wonder rings in 2022 with early evening fun, fireworks, and unique revelry

Press release from the Cade Museum
For a memorable New Year enjoyed with the family and without the late-night hassles, the Cade Museum’s Spark Wonder celebration rings in ’22 safely with a bevy of unique activities, food, drinks, fireworks, and even glow-in-the-dark dancing for revelers of all ages.
Taking place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, Spark Wonder allows parents to let loose with the kids and return home in time to tuck them in at a reasonable hour. Little ones and early birds don’t have to struggle to stay up till midnight to ring in the New Year: The Cade will screen a New Year’s celebration from another time zone so revelers can still enjoy an energetic count down to 2022.
Spark Wonder attendees can watch Depot Park’s big firework show from the comfort of the museum with a food and drink in hand. The Cade Museum offers panoramic views of the park’s holiday lights and firework show from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Petty Family Gallery. Guests can chow down on a barbeque dinner by purchasing a $10 meal ticket, and a cash bar will serve adult beverages.
The glow dance party in the museum’s Gator Tank entices guests young and old to bust a move on a dance floor while waving glow sticks that add swirls of neon colors to the black lighted space.
Kids can stay busy decorating shrinky dinks and making oozy slime, or you can gather the family to pose with costume accessories and funny accoutrements in a photobooth. Before the evening ends, don’t forget to share goals and aspirations for 2022 on the rotunda’s New Year’s Resolution wall.
Attending Spark Wonder provides support for the Cade Museum’s mission and outreach, such as educational opportunities made available to underserved communities and schools, including free memberships, scholarships to camps, and outreach events.
