Springtree Park improvements are complete

Press release from Wild Spaces & Public Places

Springtree Park is one of Gainesville’s natural treasures. Located at 2700 NW 39th Ave., the park is nestled in the Springtree neighborhood and shares a driveway entrance with Creekside Community Church on NW 39th Ave. It features a small playground and picnic area, as well as nature trails that pass through pine flatwoods and fern-covered slopes near Three Lakes Creek – a tributary of Possum Creek.

Improvements on this neighborhood nature park began in March 2020. The project included improved access to the park and trails, a new playground, adult fitness stations, a deck overlooking Three Lakes Creek, a pavilion, signage, fencing, a bike rack, trash cans, and pet waste stations. Click here to view park photos.

The Springtree Park improvement project was realized through thoughtful collaboration with the Gainesville community. We’d like to extend thanks to all our neighbors who helped guide the improvement decisions by filling out the park survey and attending the open house. The cost of the project was $210,234.
