State Attorney appoints Dr. Milad Webb as District 8 Medical Examiner

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – State Attorney Brian Kramer has appointed Dr. Milad Webb, MD, PhD, as the District 8 Medical Examiner, effective March 23.
The Alachua County Commission previously approved an interim agreement for Dr. Webb, covering March 23 through September 30, 2026, on the consent agenda of their January 27 meeting.
According to his profile at the University of Michigan’s website, Webb earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Nevada in Reno and then earned his MD at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and enrolled in residency training at Michigan Medicine. After completing his fellowship, Webb joined the Department of Pathology and Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office (WCMEO) as an Assistant Professor of Forensic Pathology and Assistant Medical Examiner in July of 2019. Webb has been a licensed physician in Florida since 2019.
Dr. Webb also provides Medical Examiner services to Dixie County, and he has served as an Assistant Medical Examiner in Hillsborough County.
The appointment must also be formally issued by Governor Ron DeSantis.
