Sunshine Music & Arts Festival to bring entertainment, food, and art to downtown Gainesville on February 27

Press release from Heartwood Soundstage

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2nd Annual Sunshine Music & Arts Festival is happening Thursday, February 27, on Heartwood Soundstage’s outdoor stage, and it’s shaping up to be something special.

Sunshine is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of the things that make Gainesville feel like home. Showcasing Gainesville’s rich artistic community, Sunshine plans to highlight local makers with a huge night market featuring regional vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry and unique art pieces to baked vegan goods and delightfully unique soaps.

The line-up is similarly local-centric, featuring a star-studded cast of some of Gainesville’s favorite pop/soul/funk/indie and folk artists. The stage will host PRIZILLA, Gainesville’s beloved pop-soul artist; the electrifying, genre-blending MADWOMAN; heartfelt storytelling from Gainesville favorite Thomas Allain; and introspective yet fiery folk from Gainesville-based Quil Darling. Jacob Sigman is also bringing his soulful, nationally-recognized pop sound all the way from Detroit, and Charleston’s Five Door Sedan will share their funk-infused indie magic.

Family-friendly activities are planned to keep the energy going into the evening. Whether you’re coming with kids or just looking for a chill night out, you’ll find games and good vibes to match. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this celebration of art and music.

Sunshine Festival will take place from 5-11 p.m. Thursday, February 27. Advanced tickets are $10 each or take advantage of bundle prices of 4 for $30. More information is available at heartwoodsoundstage.com.
