Suspect arrested in Carver Gardens Homicide

Yesterday, Thursday, March 26, GPD Detectives arrested DaRonte Williams-Vinson, 20, of Interlachen, for the murder of a 34-year-old male that occurred on March 17 at the Carver Gardens Apartments, 1101 SE 15th St. After being interviewed, Williams-Vinson confessed to the crime, but detectives still need to corroborate statements and locate and collect evidence. Williams-Vinson was booked into the Alachua County Jail and charged with murder and home invasion robbery with a firearm.

This investigation is ongoing, and detectives are still soliciting information about this case. It is imperative that anyone with information about this homicide contact GPD.
